This storm I chased with chase team DSCT (Dutch Storm Chase Team). We were based in Amarillo, Texas and drove out to the town of Vega to wait for storms. The small storms that formed in the afternoon became organized severe storms later and we chased them for the lightning until deep in the night. Chase route: Amarillo, Vega, Dumas, Canadian, Wheeler, Amarillo (300 miles), Texas Panhandle.
