This storm chase I did together with Bernard Hulshof, Herman Harperink and Floris Bijlsma. Chase route: Amarillo (TX) - Wichita Falls (TX) - Sherman (TX) - south central Oklahoma - Sherman (TX).

We left Amarillo for good and headed to Oklahoma. We saw a big tornadic thunderstorm very far north, but couldn't reach that one, so we waited for other storms in the area. A nice lightning storm formed in the evening just after sunset, of which all the photos in this gallery were taken. The light allowed for only a few seconds exposure, but there was a lot of lightning. Later that night, in Sherman OK, we ended up in massive flash flooding with many close lightning strikes, but the torrential downpour of rain made photography impossible.
