Socorro, New Mexico: this storm came in from the NW while I was processing 6 rolls of film, which I do by myself rather than bring them to a lab. The timing of the storm was right, luckily, since I was just done processing two rolls and could interrupt further processing. The storm was a weak one - but the lightning was so beautiful! I took most of these photos with a portrait-telephoto lens of 85 mm. The lightning appears close, but was actually several miles away.
