This storm chase I did together with Bernard Hulshof, Herman Harperink and Floris Bijlsma. Chase route: Amarillo - Childress - Crosbyton - Post - Lubbock - Plainview - Amarillo (550 miles).

There were several severe hailstorms active today over the Great Plains, but we saw no tornadoes. The lightning photos in this gallery were taken at another storm which formed later (after sunset) near Plainview, Texas.
